Many people have questions about the process of euthanasia. We can help you in assessing your cat’s quality of life and determining when it is time to say goodbye. We do not euthanize cats on demand.
We always try to make this difficult time as easy as possible for you and your cat. We will do our best to honor your wishes regarding every aspect of this euthanasia process. You are welcome to be with your cat and stay as long as you wish. Please be sure to let us know if there is anything we can do to make this process easier for you.
Most cats are given a sedative shortly after they arrive. This helps reduce any pain or anxiety that they may be experiencing. The euthanasia solution itself is an injectable anesthetic agent, causing rapid and peaceful sleep. The high dose of anesthetic will cause the heart to stop.
We offer pet cremation that can either be communal (with other cats) or individual. If you elect individual cremation, your cat’s ashes will be returned to you.
